This advanced class is designed for chess players with ratings of 1200 and up.

  • Kindly remind students to hold questions and comments until I open the floor for discussion. Allow one student to finish their thoughts before jumping in. This reduces interruptions.
  • It is good practice to mute your microphone most of the time.
  • Zoom is very good at picking up barking dogs, phones ringing, other family members, snack bags crinkling, etc. The meeting host will usually mute everyone to start, and you can unmute yourself when desired.

Sunday Schedule:

  • Please connect via Zoom by 2:45 pm
  • Games start at 3:00 pm
  • Finish by 6:45 pm, depending on length of games


  • All classes are held on Sundays, 2:45 – 6:45pm
  • Time control: Game/75 with 10-second delay
  • Chess games are played with recording and reviewed by coaches
  • Dual rated for both NWSRS and USCF
