SUMMARY:Orlov Intermediate Friday (Zoom)
DESCRIPTION:Friday Intermediate Classes (Video Conference)\nA weekly online class via Zoom on Fridays by IM Georgi Orlov. \nThis class is designed for Intermediate level players and is very helpful for tournament players. Is this class for you? See how to choose classes. \nWe teach powerful chess tools to get ahead in the game: \n\nStrategy lessons and cool openings\nTactics\nHomework\n\nBelow is the meeting invitation for Friday’s remote chess lessons. To join the meeting\, click on the link below following the “Join Zoom Meeting”. You can connect by laptop\, tablet\, or smartphone. Please use a webcam setup so I can see the students. You’ll probably want to arrive a few minutes early and test your microphone and camera. \nKindly remind students to hold questions and comments during my lesson until I open the floor for discussion. Allow one student to finish their thoughts before jumping in. This will reduce interruptions and maintain the integrity of the chess session. \nIt is good practice to mute your microphone until you talk to reduce background noise. Press the space bar to talk and release to re-mute when your conversation is finished. Think of it as a “push to talk” button. \nParents\, we appreciate your help getting your student successfully connected with this technology in our online lessons. We request that no extras (relatives\, observers\, or remote computers) participate in the session. \nWe use Chess.com with our Intermediate classes. We encourage students to create a free account to practice their chess and play games as much as they like! Plus\, join our Orlov Chess Academy club to reach our members and participate in friendly online club tournaments. For full unlimited access to the whole site with all of its bells and whistles\, consider upgrading your membership. \nThanks\, Coach Orlov\n206-387-1253 \n\n\n\n\nZoom Topic:\nOrlov Chess Academy Intermediate Class Friday\n\n\n\n\nTime:\nWeekly Fridays at 05:30 PM Pacific\n\n\nJoin Meeting:\nzoom.us/j/8647353754\n\n\nMeeting ID:\n864 735 3754

SUMMARY:Orlov Booster Saturday\, Redmond
DESCRIPTION:Orlov Booster Saturday\, Redmond\nA weekly class on Saturdays held in-person in the Redmond OCA office conducted by IM Georgi Orlov. \nBooster Classes are perfect for beginners that have played some chess\, know the moves\, have played a chess tournament\, and could use some direction to become an Intermediate player. \nIs this class for you? Click to read about how to choose classes. \nOnce in awhile\, in case of WCF events held in the same space on Saturdays\, we will meet on Zoom. \nIn the rare situation this Booster class is held online\, we will use ChessKid.com. I’ve created free memberships for people. Students may use these accounts to practice their chess and play games as much as they like! These free accounts allow them to play Fast Chess games\, solve 3 daily puzzles\, access beginner content\, read ChessKid articles\, and play against the infamous Bots. If you would like full\, unlimited access to the whole site with all of its bells and whistles\, consider upgrading to a Gold membership. \nThanks\, Coach Orlov\n206-387-1253

SUMMARY:Josh Intermediate Tuesday\, Zoom
DESCRIPTION:Tuesday Intermediate Class (Video Conference)\nThis class is held via online video conferencing using Zoom. \nBelow is the meeting invitation for Tuesday’s remote chess lessons at 6:45 pm. To join the meeting\, click on the link below following the “Join Zoom Meeting”. You can connect by laptop\, tablet\, or smartphone. Please use a webcam so I can see the students. \nKindly remind students to hold questions and comments during my lesson until I open the floor for discussion. Allow one student to finish their thoughts before jumping in. This will reduce interruptions and maintain the integrity of the chess session. \nIt is good practice to mute your microphone until you talk to reduce background noise and re-mute when your conversation is finished. Think of it as a “push to talk” toggle. \nParents\, we appreciate your help getting your student successfully connected with this technology in our online lessons. We request that no extras (relatives\, observers\, or additional remote computers) participate in the session. \nIs this class for you? Click to read about how to choose classes. \nWe provide free ChessKid accounts for the students who attend our after-school and evening classes and assign the usernames. Students should use your assigned OCA account\, not your personal accounts\, when playing practice or tournament games during the class. \nMy ChessKid.com username is “Coach_Josh”. All students will be added as Orlov Academy Club members on ChessKid. Click this to open our ChessKid club page: Orlov Chess Academy Club. After the lesson is over\, students should log in to ChessKid.com with your OCA account and play tournament games against one another. I will share the tournament link with the students shortly before the tournament begins. \nThanks\, Coach Josh\n206-769-3757 \nZoom Meeting\n\n\n\n\nTopic:\nJosh Sinanan Intermediate Class\n\n\nDate:\nTuesdays 6:45 – 7:45 pm\n\n\nJoin Meeting:\nzoom.us/j/7968151129\n\n\nMeeting ID:\n796 815 1129\n\n\nPassword:\n819514
