July Camp Four – Meridian School

Covid-19: The public health situation is watched closely by Orlov Chess Academy. We all want to return to normalcy and playing chess is more fun and rewarding in person. We follow state guidance from coronavirus.wa.gov.

When re-opening guidance for Puget Sound allows it, our chess camps will be held in person at our offices. If so, we’ll announce it widely and prices may change. For now, we prepare for camps in online format via Zoom and ChessKids.

Activities: Camp activities include solving fun chess puzzles, learning cool openings, solving tricky tactics, mastering fundamental endgames, and playing casual games between students! Each camp features tournament games promptly analyzed by a chess master.

We also have occasional contests, like chess jeopardy (with teams and questions about various chess or near-chess subjects). Students are rewarded for hard work and effort in a camp.

All camps are attended or conducted by International Master Georgi Orlov, 1994 US Open Champion, USCF Rated 2540, with a 4-Year Chess Education degree from Moscow, Russia.

This camp is specially designed for The Meridian School in the Wallingford area, 4649 Sunnyside Ave N, Suite 242, Seattle, WA 98103
