Basic knowledge of chess moves and rules is required.
To get started in chess, the ChessKid videos here and here are very helpful!
Students will be paired by age and ability as appropriate.
Parents are always welcome.
Each class will begin with a chess lesson, with the instructor introducing a chess subject to the students. Subjects include opening strategy, chess tactics, checkmating patterns, and more. After that, chess puzzles will be offered, and students will finish the class with playing time. They may play with their friends or the coach will assign games per skill level.
