Cascadia Thursday Chess, Spring 2026

Grades: 2-5 for those who are starting out or will benefit from more basic instruction.

Join Cascadia Elementary Chess Club!
Learn tactics and strategies of chess, solve chess puzzles and play chess with your friends!

Each class will begin with a chess lesson, with the instructor introducing a chess subject to the students. Subjects include opening strategy, chess tactics, checkmating patterns, and more. After that, chess puzzles will be offered, and students will finish the class with playing time. They may play with their friends or the coach will assign games per skill level.

Knowledge of chess moves and rules is required.

Cost: $216 for 9 classes

Refunds through 2nd class, cancellation fee $37, no refunds after.
Minimum of 8 students to hold class, max 14 students.
