Knowledge of chess moves and rules is required.
To get started in chess, the ChessKid videos here and here are very helpful!

Grades: 1-5
Each class begins with a chess lesson, with the instructor introducing a chess subject to the students. Subjects include opening strategy, chess tactics, checkmating patterns, and more. After that, chess puzzles will be offered, and students will finish the class with playing time. They may play with their friends, or the coach will assign games per skill level.

When: 3:15 – 4:15 pm Wednesdays

Cost: $336 for 12 classes ($28 per session)
