Holy Rosary Fall 2024

Grades: Separate groups for grades 1-5 and 6-8
After-school instructional chess club at Holy Rosary School in Edmonds.
Knowledge of chess moves and rules is recommended.
To get started in chess, the ChessKid videos here and here are very helpful!

Each class will begin with a chess lesson, with the instructor introducing a chess subject to the students. Subjects include opening strategy, chess tactics, checkmating patterns, and more. After that, chess puzzles will be offered, and students will finish the class with playing time. They may play with their friends, or the coach will assign games per skill level.

November 4, 18 (No class on 11/11 and 11/25)
December 2, 9, 16

Cost: $180 for 10 classes. Register your child in advance!
Refunds through 2nd class, cancellation fee $37, no refunds after.
Maximum 20 students (10 per each grade group).
