Friday Beginner Class in Redmond

A weekly class on Friday afternoons by Chess Expert Ryan Ackerman.

Students learn sportsmanship, how to play with a clock, record their games, basic strategies, solid opening plays, and much more! The class includes chess lesson time and student playing time (students play each other). We offer new material every week.

This Beginners class is best for unrated players and those rated up to 700.

This is an ongoing class, so we recommend that students create a free ChessKid.com account to learn basic chess moves and piece names. It’s also a great way to practice between lessons!

This Friday class is held in our Redmond office and is followed by our fun Friday Night Quads session.
