Keep learning and playing chess with your classmates!
After-school instructional chess club at St. Luke Catholic School in Shoreline.
Knowledge of basic chess moves and rules is recommended.
To get started in chess, the ChessKid videos here(opens in new tab) and here(opens in new tab) are very helpful!
Each class will begin with a chess lesson, with the instructor introducing a chess subject to the students. Subjects include opening strategy, chess tactics, checkmating patterns, and more. After that, chess puzzles will be offered, and students will finish the class with playing time. They may play with their friends or the coach will assign games per skill level.
